Poverty eradication is a committed effort of many people. It is the main drive of governance anywhere, but the extent of committedness differs from government to government. One way of eradicating poverty, if not the best way, is to make people be personally committee, and one such is weaving. This study evaluated the effect of weaving on poverty eradication among rural women in Nigeria. It looked at the following objectives: to assess the way weaving serves as a poverty eradication technique among rural women in Northern Nigeria and to examine how weaving serves as a poverty eradication technique among rural women in Southern Nigeria. Data was analyzed in qualitative means in which the interviews were analyzed by personal inputs which led to the discovery of these: women weavers from the North are more malleable to receiving attention from the government than their Southern counterparts, women in rural communities that are engaged in weaving do major of their business from their private ingenuities, government attention to women weavers is comparatively less and poverty among rural women weavers is still very high, but they are quite better than their follows in the same community doing other businesses. In conclusion, it was noted that weaving was a veritable means of poverty eradication among rural women everywhere. It was recommended amongst others that government should engage rural women in self-help weaving schools by encouraging them to be self-sustaining, the government should finance the weaving processes of rural weaving by soft loans, non-governmental organizations should be encouraged to invest in weaving via rural women, women engaged weaving in rural communities should be trained on modern techniques of weaving and government should always provide a buffer to women weavers in rural communities by buying their products off as they produce them and put them in the hands of cartel sellers to sell to the public. This will always encourage them to engage in production.
